The new London Crane Survey from Deloitte Real Estate shows that office construction activity in London is at a four-year high. There are now 9.7 million sq ft of commercial developments currently under construction, which is an increase of 8% in the last six months.
Green Deal, the government's key energy-efficiency scheme, has seen a further rise in the number of registered installers. The figures for April show that there are now 942 companies registered to install the products, compared with 831 at the end of March.
New data from the Office for National Statistics illustrates that the construction industry shows no signs of immediate recovery. Figures for the first quarter of 2013 highlight that output levels are now at their lowest for 15 years.
