Buyer

Job description

We are looking for a Buyer to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position with a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

About the Role

This role is focused on managing brands within the context of a buy to sell business model, requiring a keen understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Your normal working week will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate stock requirements, negotiate prices, and manage relationships to secure the best deals for the company.
  • Analyse market trends and maintain awareness of industry changes to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the procurement needs and requirements of the business.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI to analyse procurement data, track spending, and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.

About you

Desirable skills and qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative & as part of a collaborative team.
