Nibblers and Shears are quick and efficient sheet metal tools that make easy work of straight edge cuts or in the case of the nibbler, cuts of any shape. This is the key difference between the two. Shears are perfect for making straight cuts and cutting long gradual curves cleanly. The nibbler has a completely different action, cutting hundreds of little holes as it goes that enables you to make cuts in any direction without removing the tool from the work surface.
