This Milwaukee SL50 flap disc uses high-quality zirconium aluminium oxide grain for a genuinely longer service life on steel and stainless steel V2A (1.4301) / V4A (1.4401) than a standard aluminium oxide disc. A natural fibre backing pad is vibration-damped and noise-absorbing, keeping the disc comfortable to run for longer sessions, while staying flexible enough to adapt perfectly to the shape of the workpiece. This 115mm disc has a flat design suited to fine finishing and detail work close to the surface, and a G120 grit gives a balance of stock removal and finish suited to that grade.
