The KNIPEX STX60 is built for stripping thick cable sheaths - PVC, rubber or PUR - from 30mm up to 60mm in diameter, a job that's slow and awkward to do safely with a knife. A single-handed quick-adjustment mechanism lets the cutting blade slide to any diameter in that range with just a press, and it works via a combination of circumferential and longitudinal cuts to get the sheath off cleanly. Two mechanisms cover the longitudinal cut: a manual fold-out pulling aid for full control, or a mechanical option for faster repeat cuts. The blade fully retracts into the body when not in use, protecting it during storage and transport, and replacement blades are available separately when it eventually needs a fresh edge.
