The Makita DUX18 18v LXT split-shaft motor unit has an effective output of 470 watts, a soft start system to protect the operator from initial power loading, and Makita’s "Active Feedback Sensing Technology" (AFT) that shuts down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly reduces or if the blade or line head snags. 

There are a number of gardening tool attachment heads (sold separately) that are compatible with this motor unit, making it a versatile tool for a number of outdoor jobs. 

This DUX18 Split-Shaft Multi Tool is supplied with 1x BL1850B 5.0Ah battery and 1x DC18RC charger - all attachments sold separately.
