The Makita DBN640 18v LXT Metal Connector Nailer is a professional cordless fastening tool designed for structural timber applications. Ideal for fixing joist hangers, truss clips, restraint straps and other metal connectors, it delivers powerful, consistent performance without the need for compressors, air hoses or gas cartridges.
Powered by Makita's 18V LXT battery platform, the DBN640ZK combines a high-efficiency brushless motor with an advanced pneumatic spring drive system to deliver reliable driving performance while benefiting from longer runtime, reduced maintenance and increased efficiency. Compatible with 38–64mm metal connector nails, the nailer is purpose-built for timber frame construction, roofing, structural carpentry and other heavy-duty fixing applications where speed and accuracy are essential.
A slim nose design provides improved visibility of the workpiece and easier access into tight spaces, allowing for more precise nail placement when working around brackets and connectors. Tool-free depth adjustment makes it quick and easy to achieve the correct nail depth across different materials, while the anti-dry fire mechanism helps prevent blank firing and protects both the tool and workpiece when the magazine is empty.
An integrated LED job light with pre-glow and after-glow functions improves visibility in poorly lit working areas, helping increase accuracy and productivity on site. Built to withstand demanding working environments, the DBN640ZK features Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT), providing enhanced resistance against dust and moisture for greater durability and reliability.
