I bought this item purely for measuring room/building dimensions for when I'm quoting on work but I was amazed at the additional functionality of the product. It even has built in trigonometry calculations for giving heights of buildings using pythagoras' theorem for right angle triangles! What I bought as a useful tool has turned out to be a tool I can't manage without.
