Panasonics EY4640 LZ 14.4V grinder delivers high speed metal cutting and grinding in a compact, lightweight tool.

The grinder uses a slim grip and universal side handle that delivers comfortable metal cutting or grinding. The tool has a speed of 9,500 rpm and uses a 41/2" wheel size. The EY4640X has a lock on feature for the on switch when performing time consuming tasks. The tool is equipped with an easy access port for changing motor brushes. The EY4640X is ideal for general construction, plumbing, electrical installation and metal construction.

The EY4640X is compact in size and weighs only 4.8 lbs. The ergonomic in-line design and slim grip allows the user to hold the grinder securely which allows for less fatigue over extended use.

The EY4640X is powered by a 3.1ah Cobalt Li-ion battery pack. This battery pack delivers high output with low heat generation resulting in twice the lifetime total performance versus current Ni-Cd battery packs. In addition the EY4640X utilizes Panasonics unique GuardION system. The GuardION system monitors each battery cell during battery charging and during tool use to prevent over discharging and overheating of the battery pack thus insuring long life.

The EY4640X uses a self diagnostic universal battery charger which electronically monitors the condition of each battery cell in the battery pack during the charging process to deliver full charging with minimal heat generation. The charger will charge all Panasonic battery chemistries Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-ion and all voltages from 7.2-28.8v.
